Thank you to all of you that attended our Grand Opening on May 10. We really appreciate you sharing some of your time with us. We are both very excited for this venture and for the future of Movement Redefined. It has been a lot of hard work, love, problem solving, and dedication to get to this point. Please take a moment to read our stories below to learn more about what drove us to open Movement Redefined.
Dr. Dante's Story
Last week marked 10 years since I graduated from physical therapy school. Even back then, I knew I wanted to do something different—something more. I saw firsthand how traditional physical therapy, and the healthcare system as a whole, was falling short of what people truly needed. I envisioned a better way to serve, coach, and care for individuals—not just treating injuries, but providing more proactive solutions to help people live fuller, more purposeful lives.
Pursuing that vision hasn’t been easy. The journey has required persistence, resilience, and a willingness to challenge outdated systems and expectations. There were moments when I questioned everything—even whether I wanted to continue as a physical therapist. But through the support of my incredible family, friends, and community, I kept going. I found a like-minded friend who pushed and challenged me to muster up the courage to finally take the leap. I will forever be grateful for Matt's partnership.
Today, I can say with pride that the dream has become reality.
Movement Redefined was born from that original spark of purpose. We've created a new model for physical therapy, performance coaching, and personal training—one that’s rooted in personalized care, meaningful relationships, and a deep commitment to helping people live fully. It’s about transformation. We are driven to transform our clients' lives, transform what healthcare is, and transform our community.
I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, but this is just the beginning. The journey continues—this is just the start.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s keep redefining what’s possible.
Matt's Story
When I started coaching in 2002, people often assumed I had one ultimate goal: to one day open my own gym. Over the past 23 years, I’ve been asked that question more times than I can count. And almost every time, my answer surprises people.
The truth is, I never wanted to have my own gym. Not once.
It wasn’t about the name on the door or owning the building. That was never the measure of success for me. I’ve worked in just about every kind of gym and training facility you can imagine—some cutting-edge, some bare-bones. But I was never drawn to the idea of being the boss of a building. What always mattered most was impact.
From day one, I’ve been driven by a singular purpose: helping people at the highest level possible. Whether that’s been through coaching, learning from brilliant mentors, or refining my craft in elite environments with top-tier equipment—I’ve been obsessed with growth. Personal growth. Professional growth. And most importantly, helping others grow into the strongest, most capable versions of themselves.
Because none of it—fancy tech, shiny machines, trendy programming—means anything if it doesn’t work for people.
You can have the most advanced equipment in the world, but if it isn’t used with purpose, it’s just steel and plastic. You can have all the knowledge, but if you can’t deliver it in a way that resonates with real people, in real bodies, it falls flat. Over two decades in this field have taught me what works—and what doesn’t.
A few years ago, I found myself at a crossroads. I stepped back to spend time with my family, to reflect, and to think deeply about what could come next. I didn’t want to open a gym. I wanted to do something different.
That’s when I started having conversations with my longtime friend and former colleague, Dante. We talked about the same frustrations—how too many systems fail the very people they’re supposed to serve. We shared the same desire: to do better, to build something that truly works for people. Something grounded in science, compassion, and real-world experience.
Those conversations sparked something. A vision. A mission. A call to action.
The more we talked, the clearer it became: If we wanted to see something better, we had to be the ones to build it. Not for ourselves—but for the people we serve. The opportunity to partner with Dante—someone I deeply respect as a clinician and as a human—made this the easiest decision I’ve ever made.
So no, opening a gym was never the dream. But this—building a place where real impact happens, together—absolutely is.
